Azealia Banks said she wants to turn the remains of her dead cat into a pair of earrings after recently digging up the corpse of her beloved feline, Lucifer.
The 29-year-old 212 rapper left social media stunned earlier this week after footage emerged of her digging up the pet and then appearing to boiling its bones.
She then placed what seemed to be skull of the dead cat on an altar alongside several objects such as a $100 bill and perfume.
In the latest twist of events, Azealia now hopes to turn the jaw bones of her dead cat into earrings.
Taking to social media on Thursday, Azealia explained to her baffled followers that she planned to make the bones into jewellery.
“After the peroxide bath, here is Lucifer’s jaw,” she told her fans.
She added: “Titanium cat jaw earcuffs with a slick arianny full lacewig pony… That’s fashion.”
The singer’s latest update came days after she sparked concern among fans when she shared a video in which she appeared to be digging up the dead body of her late cat from her garden.
If that wasn’t enough, Azealia then boiled the carcass before placing the cat head among an altar.
Fans were obviously left baffled by the unusual videos and took to social media to express their disbelief.
“My stomach is in my mouth right now.”
“Gosh, the poor girl is obviously dealing with a lot. Stop the hate guys,” added another.
Despite the backlash, Azealia then took to social media in an attempt to try and explain her actions.
In a series of social media stories, the artist explained it was ‘taxidermy’ and clapped back at critics of her actions.
“Why do you think I would eat a dead cat when I can barely eat a dead cow. It’s called taxidermy…” she said.
She then went on to tell her fans she wants to take the skull to a jewellers.
In one post she wrote: “I’m taking him to a jewelry shop to have it gilded. Lucifer was an icon. He deserves to be preserved.”
